I'm okay!
Hello friends!

As you know ,on March 11, 2011, Japan was struck by a huge earthquake which devastated many towns and cities. At that time when the earthquake happened,i was in the office and felt the shake. I couldn't stand still and slipped, and had a twisted ankle. In my house, everything fell down from shelves and some dishes were broken but I'm okay. My family and my dog,Shiro are safe too.

Still we are in fear, the prime minister says radiation has leaked from damaged reactor in fukushima, he asks those within 20km to evacuate.

Many power plants were damaged. so Tokyo Elec has started the planned, rolling blackouts since yesterday. We are asked to save electricity
, so I am so sorry that I can't reply individually.

Still hundreds of aftershocks.I'm worn out by fear but I'm sure we can make it through.

Thank you so much for your prayers and supports. Tottally appreciated. *massive hugs*

I Am What I Am
I'm so excited to see my question was picked in John Barrowman's new book,I Am What I Am on page 246. I sent him the question to his web yahoo group last March.

The question is:
Do you and Scott have the same taste in fashion? And do you share your clothes with him?

His answer is:
Don't get me started. This subject is a bit of a touchy one in the Barrowman - Gill household. Scott and I have quite different tastes in the fashion...blah balh balh.

When I read this part,I regretted immediately. I'm afraid my question made him angry, because I think his tone was so irritated. I shouldn't have asked him about his personal things. Now I put my head in my hands, and moaned. I've been reading too much? English is not my native language, i cannot read subtle nuances. *sigh*

My dog Shiro!
I am planning a trip to the UK on my own this October. The problem is that I cannot speak English at all! LOL So, I got re-started to study English. My friends say that keeping a diary in English is the most efficient way to blush up English skills. So I use LJ for my practice. Hope you don't mind. Thank you for your understanding. *hugs*

White day
Last Saturday, March 14 was White day.
White Day as opposed to Valentine's Day, is a completely Japanese event. While women give gifts to men on Valentine's Day in Japan, on White Day, men should return the favor and give gifts to women from whom they received gifts or chocolate, or to women in whom they are romantically interested. The reason its called "White Day" is because the color of sugar (white).

I ate some watermelon flavor KitKat today, Yes, it is taste of watermelon! Not so bad.

I really love watermelons, I don't know why Mr. Barrowman hates them.

Merry Christmas!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

In Japan, Christmas cake, traditionally eaten on Christmas day, is simply a sponge cake, frosted with whipped cream, decorated with strawberries.

Sad news
I read here that Lincoln, who played Diefenbaker during the first and second seasons of Due South, had passed away in September. It was devastating. I thought he would go on and go on. Dief was what got me watching due SOUTH and I know all due SOUTH fans loved him because of his endearing temperament and his bravery. He was our hero. Linc I’ll never forget you and you exist in my memory, May you rest in peace.

all plans for today forgotten…..crying….. you know how I loved diefenbaker....

The first e-mail from DM
I didn't think David Marciano Q&A was as bizarre as everyone else seems to find it. However, some jokes were difficult to understand for me. For _scally_,I post the first e-mail I got from DM. (20th,September,2006)

I wrote:
You are as awesome as ever. Billings is such a different role to Vecchio - despite the being a detective - that it's really interesting. I just wonder which of the roles you've played would you consider the most enjoyable? By the way, have you ever been to Japan? I hope you will visit our country someday.

David wrote back:
I enjoy them both equally in different ways. The love for Ray came from him being such a good friend to Fraser. And Billings...what can I say. He's really a good cop who is underestimated by the other's. he's effective and efficient disarming and affable.

No I have never been to Japan. Japanese peole and the food and culture is one I am very fond of. I hope one day to experience it first hand.

Thank you (my name). Are you a huskythat can type?

He seemes to be a nice person.

David is nice!
David Marciano's birthday was January 7 and I sent him a happy birthday message on behalf of Japanese due south fans and I wrote him that I saw DS documentary, Southbound and I enjoyed it very much, well and thanked him about his great works. He was kind enough to send me a message back! It's cool, isn't it?

David wrote:

Your welcome. I haven't seen it(Southbound) yet. They were supposed to send me a copy, but I never got it. Thanks for checking in. I had a great birthday. Thanks for remembering.

due SOUTH Pilot missing scene
Both DVDs of the Platinum and Alliance versions seem cut a scene from Pilot. I dug out a video tape of an interview and found it. It's at Robert Fraser's funeral scene and Fraser looks really sad. I think they have to cut for time.
